Limone del Garda is the last spot to the North, where you can catch the Peler, on the Lombardy shore of Lake Garda. Here, you can go windsurfing all year round, due to the relatively mild weather conditions, even in the middle of winter.
Windsurfing, spot reviews: Limone del Garda, with Peler
The spot is located a few kms north of Malcesine, but on the west shore. In terms of wind quality, the conditions are not much different from those offered by Malcesine. However, regarding the water level and the temperature conditions, there are some differences. But let's proceed in order.
In Limone del Garda, you can get into water from 4 points.

A final significant advantage is given by the fact that here the Peler often blows from early morning (like in Malcesine) and with excellent intensity, even when, on certain winter days, the thermal gradient is not significant, and does not push the wind down to Pra (where you risk looking in vain at the rippled lake surface, only further north, or where the wind barely blows for half an hour). In such cases, another alternative can be represented by the Campione del Garda spot, where however the wind does not last as long as in Limone (the Peler here can blow even until late morning).
Keep in mind that the Foehn wind keeps the Peler away from the west coast, and therefore also penalizes the spot of Limone spot.
Hang loose. Fabio
