Once again, Lake Garda puts everything in order..... Last Sunday, we scored a good Peler, that, this time, we enjoyed at Limone.

 

Windsurfing, report: Limone del Garda, Peler - 09/29/2024

 

After a Saturday spent drinking for family celebrations...., it wasn't easy to set off on Sunday morning at 6:30 towards the Western shore of Lake Garda. The residual Foehn wind, which was predicted, and the crowding of the Pra de la fam car park, which friends had told me, led me to head straight for Limone. Also because, when I passed through Pra and Campione, around 8:00, I could see the lake much more foaming towards the North.

And, in fact, when I arrived at Limone, I had no doubts about rigging the Goya Guru X Pro 4.2, pairing it with the Tabou 3S 96. The first hour on the water was very pleasant, with a nice strong wind, and a sufficiently tidy water surface. I found myself practically alone in the water, and I took advantage of the unmissable opportunity to try all the maneuvers I wanted without having to look around too much. The other riders were riding a bit further north, and those who came out in Malcesine were further south. A magnificent day and an exciting panorama, as the video and photos published here demonstrate.

 

 

 

In the second hour of the session, the foehn also created some disturbances to the wind, at Limone. The wind did not drop, but began to come in gusts, and with many changes of direction, which also messed up the water surface.

After the exit, I took it easy: I took the opportunity to rinse some equipment from the sea water (had a session at Imperia on friday), and then I relaxed on the beach, eating a tasty focaccia. Coming to here just to get a few hours of wind, ignoring the abundance of natural beauty that Garda has to offer, is a perversion of those sick minds that, more and more, many windsurfers appear to be, in my opinion.

For me, windsurfing and the natural context around it are inseparable.
