For windsurfer and surfers, fall is the time of big waves on the Maui north facing beaches. Summer’s often lake-flat for weeks, then with the seeming flip of a switch the surf can quite literally go from a pancake to 20 feet. This is what happened here at Hookipa Beach, Maui the last few days.
