Waterwind Mast Selector

Ho avuto modo di provare l'accoppiata della Ga Sails Manic 4.2 2022, con un albero Ezzy Hookipa 370. Allego foto.
Direi che l'accoppiata è più che soddisfacente, ed anche in navigazione la vela risulta performante (potente, ma con una spinta progressiva).

Usando la misura di luff indicata dal marchio, si nota che nella zona dove la tasca d'albero si apre per fissare il boma, l'albero Ezzy non spinge completamente contro la tasca d'albero.
Conviene aggiungere due centimetri di prolunga per potere cazzare leggermente di più il caricabasso, stando però attenti a non far sventare troppo la vela in balumina (questione di esperienza).

Non basta solo verificare che vela ed albero siano entrambi constant curve (stesso BCN, i valori dell'IMCS ormai sono standard per ogni lunghezza d'albero), ma occorre anche verificare come il valore del BCN è stato ottenuto (tollerando differenze contenute nel valore della flessione - richiesta dalla vela ed offerta dall'albero - a 3/4 ed 1/4 della lunghezza dell'albero).

I would say that the combination is more than satisfactory, and even when riding the sail is performing well (powerful, but with a progressive thrust).

Using the luff measurement indicated by the brand, you notice that in the area where the mast sleeve opens to insert the boom, the Ezzy mast does not push completely against the mast sleeve.
It is advisable to add two centimeters of extension to be able to sheet the downhaul slightly more, but being careful not to get a too much loosen leech (a matter of experience).

It is not enough just to verify that the sail and mast are both constant curves (same BCN, the IMCS values are now standard for each mast length), but it is also necessary to verify how the BCN value was obtained (tolerating differences contained in the value of the flexion - requested by the sail and offered by the mast - at 3/4 and 1/4 of the length of the mast).

riporto in vita questo vecchio 3d  per segnalare accoppiata albero Gunsails Expert C80 (nuovo) - vele Gaastra Pure (usate) che mia figlia si è comprata

Accoppiata Molto Buona - Quasi Perfetta / Very Good - Almost Perfect Couple
GA Gaastra Pure 4.4 2019 (Freestyle) / GunSails Expert 370 (C80%)

la stessa cosa dovrebbe risultare per la GA Pure 4.0 2020 / same should happen for GA  Pure 4.0 2020

Dall' Unifiber Mast Selector si evince che l'albero GunSails dovrebbe essere un Constant perfetto, mentre le vele GA dal 2017 sono passate da Hard Top a  Constant (leggermente tendenti all'Hard Top)

Grazie di cuore Fabio per l'aiuto e soprattutto per la vela. Come avevamo visto insieme l'accoppiata migliore è con alberi mescolati e quindi armerò sempre cosi. Non vedo l'ora di poterla provare. Un abbraccio
