ma infatti a me sembra che per esempio RRD, di cui uso le vele, abbia un filo abbassato già i prezzi dal 2023 al 2024.
Secondo me, sempre a sensazione, i prezzi del wsf negli ultimi 10 anni sono saliti più che proporzionalmente al resto del costo della vita. Forse hanno tagliato la produzione con domanda cmq alta, e ora la domanda (a questi prezzi) sta un pò venendo meno e quindi il mercato si autoregola abbassando i prezzi.
E' un discorso interessante, bisognerebbe avere qualche dato (ufficiale) in più

E' uscita la notizia che Duotone ha fatto fuori Marc Parè, uno dei miei waverider preferiti, che non solo si è posizionato ai vertici delle classifiche degli eventi del 2023, ma che mostra una stile pulito e che interpreta il windsurf come avventura e viaggio (fisico e mentale), nel senso in cui lo intendo io. Basta vedere i suoi video sul Cile.
Duotone spiega la circostanza scrivendo "The industry is facing a critical time and unfortunately some difficult decisions have been made".

Mi sembra che stia per scoppiare la bolla. Negli ultimi anni, i prezzi dei materiali sono schizzati alle stelle (basti vedere vele ed alberi in particolare), ed i produttori hanno pensato che si potesse semplicemente scaricare l'incremento dei costi di produzione (ma è questo l'unico motivo degli aumenti?) sui clienti. E questo è successo non solo nel windsurf.

Ma la coperta è corta, e questa scelta si sta rivelando un boomerang.
Continueremo a fare windsurf, ma con attrezzattura più datata, o rivolgendoci a marchi più economici (e che forse lucrano meno), ma altrettanto validi (e ce ne sono).
E forse finalmente l'infinita proliferazione di marchi, e l'aumento di costi, vedranno una battuta di arresto.
Nel frattempo, succedono cose come questa. Penso, comunque, che il talento di Marc Parè gli garantirà presto una nuova sponsorizzazione.

I feel like the bubble is about to burst. In recent years, the prices of equipment have skyrocketed (just look at sails and masts in particular), and producers have thought that they could simply transfer the increase in production costs (but is this the only reason for the increases? ) on customers. And this happened not only in windsurfing.

But the blanket is short, and this choice is proving to be a boomerang.
We will continue to windsurf, but with older equipment, or by turning to cheaper brands (and which perhaps make less profit), but equally valid (and there are some).
And perhaps finally the infinite proliferation of brands, and the increase in costs, will come to a halt.
Meanwhile, things like this happen. I think, however, that Marc Parè's talent will soon guarantee him a new sponsorship.
