Windsurf, spot review: Carro, Marseille, France
The Marseille area offers many spots, at a short distance from each other (see also the review of Marseille Prado), and has a high frequency of windy days. The Carro spot is one of the most popular and frequented by riders who, in particular, want to do waveriding.
The spot can be reached driving along the D9 departmental road, if arriving from the East; or, if you come from the West, driving around the west side of the Etang de Berre, passing through Martigues, and then continuing in a southerly direction until you reach the fishing village of Carro.
Right in front of the spot you have two large paved parking areas, and also a camper (autocaravan) parking area. Near the car park, you also have a public toilet, which generally is clean.

Finally, we point out that it is said that the spot is also famous for equipment theft. We have not yet had direct negative experiences, or we don't know of bad experiences to friends. In any case, be cautious.
